OfficeView
is an electronic version of the in/out board with a fully integrated messaging system.
Employees can know the whereabouts of co-workers at a glance of their screen. Your
receptionist can respond to callers quickly and send you messages without having to leave
the reception desk. When you start the program, the screen will automatically indicate
"In" beside your name. When you turn off your computer, "OUT" will
appear (optional feature). One click beside your name opens a list of remarks. Another
click on the remark of choice assigns it to the board. You may choose from standard
remarks, such as: on vacation until <date>, in a meeting, etc., or you can prepare
customized remarks. OfficeView also includes:
- a pop-up screen for each employee to display information such
as telephone numbers, titles and a notepad
- password security for configuration control
- a quick and easy message system (can be disabled)
- adjustable screen sizes (ranging from tiny to large)
- comprehensive on-line help
All OfficeView programs are self-contained and do not require
any DLL, OCX, or VBX file. They include a setup program with complete instructions to
install the program on your LAN or file server. The programs are also available in
16-bit versions.
OfficeView is available in four sizes, accommodating up to
10, 30, 300, or 1000 names. The 10 and 30 names programs are referred to as Regular
OfficeView and the 300 and 1000 names programs are called Group OfficeView. The
programs differ in that Group OfficeView displays up to 30 names on the screen, grouping
the names by organizational unit, e.g., Sales, Finance.
A five-name evaluation version is available for Regular OfficeView (10 or 30 names).
An evaluation version for Group OfficeView (300 or 1000 names) enables three names in each
of three groups to operate. You must register your program to increase the number of names
and groups.
